If you look at the menu for the website on the left side of the HomePage, you will see that ‘Videos’ has been added. Right now, there are three. These will all be videos that I shoot – and remember, I am an amateur! I emphasize that because if I can do it, so can […]
Our nighttime temperatures are now in the 30’s and so it is time for the large birdbath to be emptied, dried, and covered for the winter. Its camera has now been turned off. The live-stream will begin again next spring – probably in late April. It will depend when the birds return from their winter […]
I have always had a special place in my heart for Ruffed Grouse. I am from Pennsylvania and that is our state bird – and I learned that in fourth grade from my most favorite teacher, Miss Clouser. There was something about the bird that fascinated me even then, and in part, I think it […]

Its mate and one of their juveniles were on that feeder. She was feeding the juvenile. In my opinion, mid-October is late […]
If you look on the Internet, you will find there are places were you can register to get alerts when there is a rare bird in a place it rarely/never is or something unusual happens. If you have the Merlin app* on your phone, you should have gotten an alert last evening. Because of the […]
