Birdbath Cam is closed

Our nighttime temperatures are now in the 30’s and so it is time for the large birdbath to be emptied, dried, and covered for the winter.  Its camera has now been turned off.  The live-stream will begin again next spring – probably in late April.  It will depend when the birds return from their winter homes and start using it.

The two birdbaths you see on the birdfeeder cam will also be readied for winter.  The smaller one will be drained and stored in the garage.  The larger one is a heated birdbath so will be plugged into the outlet which is on the side of our house.  Birds most often do not bathe in colder weather, but they will use it to drink.  The smaller one will be returned to this area in early April.

And what will the crow do now?  It is still coming about every other day and rearranging the stones in that small birdbath.  Too much HGTV?  Or is it Zen gardening?  Alas, we will never know!
