Wild Turkeys!
Last Tuesday was a rainy day here in central Illinois which is often a wonderful time to take a drive on rural roads. It can be a whole different world from a sunny day. We were driving through the Eagle Creek area of Lake Shelbyville when we saw these Wild Turkeys walking through the woodlands. This was a flock of about a dozen or so. We stopped and watched them forage as they walked along. It always amazes me that like many large creatures, they blend in perfectly with their surroundings and if it were not for their movement, we never would have known they were there.
